Backups can help recover your Unturned server after mistakes, broken mods, accidental wipes or world corruption.
Restoring a backup will usually replace current server files with the files from the backup.
This means changes made after the backup was created may be lost.
You may want to restore a backup if:
- A mod broke the server.
- A map change went wrong.
- Important files were deleted.
- The world became corrupted.
- You wiped the server by mistake.
- You want to roll back to an earlier save.
- Log in to your CLWHost game panel.
- Stop your Unturned server.
- Open the Backups section.
- Choose the backup you want to restore.
- Start the restore process.
- Wait for the restore to finish.
- Start the server.
- Check the console for errors.
- Join the server to confirm everything is working.
- Do not start the server while a restore is still running.
- Restoring an older backup may remove recent player progress.
- If the server used Workshop mods, make sure those mods are still installed and available.
- If the backup was made before a map change, it may restore the old map setup.
CLWHost stores backups off-site where supported by the server plan and panel configuration. This helps protect your server data if there is a hardware issue on the main node.
If you are unsure which backup to restore, contact CLWHost support before starting the restore.
