This guide explains how to give yourself admin access on your CLWHost Unturned server.
You will need your own SteamID64. This is the long numeric ID linked to your Steam account.
You can find it using a Steam ID lookup website or from your Steam profile details.
Log in to your CLWHost Wisp game panel and stop the Unturned server before editing files.
Open Commands.dat and add an owner line using your own SteamID64.
Format:
Owner YOUR_STEAMID64_HERE
Example structure:
Map PEI
MaxPlayers 24
Owner YOUR_STEAMID64_HERE
Perspective Both
Mode Normal
PVP
Cheats Enabled
Replace YOUR_STEAMID64_HERE with your real SteamID64.
Server name, password and port are handled by the Wisp Startup/allocation settings on CLWHost servers, so you do not normally need to set those in Commands.dat.
Save the file and start the server again.
Join the server and try a basic admin command.
Example:
/Day
If the command works, your admin access is set up.
Some commands require cheats to be enabled in Commands.dat.
Example:
Cheats Enabled
If you do not want cheat-style commands enabled, keep cheats disabled and only use commands that do not require cheats.
The CLWHost Unturned egg includes Rocket.Unturned. If you use RocketMod plugins, some permissions may be handled through Rocket permission groups instead of only vanilla owner/admin settings.
For a simple vanilla server, the Owner line is the easiest starting point.
Contact CLWHost support and include your SteamID64. Do not send your Steam password.
