Workshop maps let you run custom Unturned maps on your CLWHost server.
We recommend taking a backup before changing maps. Changing map can create a new world/save and may affect player progress.
You will need:
The Workshop ID and map name are not always the same thing.
Open the Workshop page for the map and copy the number after id=.
Example:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1234567890
Workshop ID:
1234567890
Log in to your CLWHost Wisp game panel and stop the server.
Add the map's Workshop ID to your server's Workshop download configuration/files.
The CLWHost Unturned egg handles the Steam game server token for you, so you do not need to create or upload your own GSLT token.
If your panel does not show a clear Workshop field, contact CLWHost support and we can point you to the correct file/location for your server.
Open Commands.dat and change the Map line to the exact map name.
Example:
Map Elver
A basic example could look like:
Map Elver
MaxPlayers 24
Perspective Both
Mode Normal
PVP
Server name, password and port are handled through Wisp startup/allocation settings on CLWHost servers.
Start the server and watch the console. The server should download the Workshop map and then load it.
Check the following:
Commands.dat is spelled correctly.Do not put the Workshop ID as the map name.
Wrong:
Map 1234567890
Correct:
Map Elver
If you are unsure what the exact map name should be, contact CLWHost support with the Workshop link.
